Warning : there are one or two swear words. Ooops. It's all Katia's fault. She was a bit hyper. As you'll hear.

This episode has been brought to you by the French phrase, "mouvement sociale" (social movement).

Hey yousJust back from Australia (well, not just - week and a half) for the first time with The Christine, who is from Sydney (and now lives with me in Oregon). You won't believe it, but I actually saw kangaroos!!!! Yes, real live kangaroos, in the wild and everything. That, you may or may not know, is a dream akin to meeting Superman or Mothra to me the American boy. Besides that we got up close and personal with some crocs in Kakadoo - dang me. We may live up there some day.Anyway, I really just wanted to say thanks for making me part of your show. I'll be listening when I can.LT

Hey gals! It's Jess "the giggles" K from your Frappr map here.I was listening to your podcast last night and took note of your difficulties in procuring the essentials of "La Fete Americaine". Otherwise known as Turkey Day. Have y'all checked out the American store, Thanksgiving? (Appropriately named.) They're on Rue St. Paul. My mum and I happened to be in Paris for Turkey Day a couple of years ago & stocked up on all the good stuff (as well as things like Oreos, haha). I think they have some kind of supplier who raises turkeys just for them. They have a website too: http://www.thanksgivingparis.com/store.htm Alrighty--ta ta for now!J

Little Thom - I'm SO glad you had a fab time in Australia! I really understand your excitement at seeing kangaroos for the first time - my other half is French, and he was giddy like a schoolboy when he saw them for the first time. Kindof like me with snow ;)J - the HILARIOUS thing is that right after recording this episode, we went to the Thanksgiving Store! There are one or two shops like this in Paris, but it's one of the most well known. We'll talk about it in the next episode, but Kylie did find several provisions that will help her concoct her part of the Thanksgiving celebration.

LT - one day i'm going to go to australia, and i'm not leaving until i see a kangaroo! :) i don't mind skipping the crocodiles though (notice i didn't type ALLIGATORS. i'm Learning, albeit ever-so-slowly).J- we did indeed head over to said Thanksgiving store, which is bigger than I remember The Real McCoy being. but i've not been there since before Last Turkey Day! K- 'concoct' :: snickers :: oh, yes. :: rubbing hands together maniac-ally ::
