k&k episode 172 - the one where they talk about cognac tasting and raclettes... and stuff...
We're still telling stories about our visit with the Muffin Mans parents in episode 172: Katia tells an old family tale about cognac, Kylie gets excited about discovering the wine cellar, then we discuss what we learned about wine, mountains, cheese and strawberry shortcakes and the joys of eating raclette.
This episode was brought to you by the phrase "une charlotte aux fraises" (strawberry shortcake).
Cognac taster...MY idea job too. I will duke you out for it.
I just don't get the concept of raclette. I think it's gotta be the American-over-eater in me. For me, a meal isn't a couple potatoes with cheese and fixin's. I'd much prefer fondue, with its cheeses and oils and chocolates....
Dear Kyliemac, I seem to recall you were the one who first complained to me about the size of the thimbles that the cognac was served in. I then may have then expressed your concern to Katia, which led to her knk moment in the podcast. Just wanted to clear that up, in case anyone got the wrong idea. You are the bad idea bear. Love Phil

Fantastic episode! Really, really interesting.
I had my first raclette last Saturday actually, it reminded me of chacroutte/sauerkraut because of the type of meats and the potatoes.
