k&k episode 181 - the one where they declare that the Champs-Elysées is over-rated... and stuff...
We start off episode 181 with a discussion of the twitter phenomenon, then Kylie enjoys some of the Halloween-y stuff that Stacy sent us and reminisces about Halloween. Kylie then tells us about visiting the new Ladurée Bar, and we rant for quite some time about the Champs Elysées, then we diverge into topics such as subtitles, how much French you really get to speak in Paris, the pharmacist myth, and mushroom hunting (again).
Kylie visited the Ladurée Bar
This episode was brought to you by the word "un(e) pharmacien/-ienne" (a chemist / pharmacist).
I forgot - kyliemac, is there only 1 movie theater on the Champs Elysees? cuz if so - I've been to that one! HA, only one visit to Paris and my Italian and I went to see Michele Valliant at a theater on that street. hehe funny!
stacy: no. there are several theatres on the champs-elysees. the ones that i go to are the gaumont theatres - they are right across from each other (and one of the two is next store to the disney store!) there are a couple other ones as well, i can think of at least 6 on or just off of the champs... and my LE PASS is accepted at four of them for sure. lucky me!

oooo I LOVE French macarons. Crispy shell and airy soft insides with the delicious filling. ohh man. Next time I'm in Paris I am going to that shop!
American ones are usually flat cookies that are more like clusters of coconut and chocolate. I'm not sure if American ones have flour but they are not cakey at all. Does that make sense? they're good if you like coconut and chocolate but nothing like the French ones.
