It was an absolutely amazing night, and we truly thank all the companies and authors who kindly donated prizes for the contests we ran throughout the evening, as well as the great team at the Great Canadian Pub for putting up with us. Bob - the video quality is very poor, and incomplete. We did our very very best but we had some problems with the recording and lighting that were out of our control. I'm sure you won't hold it against us.
And seriously, the audio file is AWESOME, and MUCH better than the video could ever be.

Now my two cents about the debate "waiting in line:survival of the fittest".
Have you ever been in Italy? If so you could have seen it was not "survival of the fittest" but "survival of the oldest"; how many times have I been passed by an old mama pretexting asking something to the clerk and ending up buying her whole bag of fruits and vegetables? I stopped counting... Trust me, Italian mamas are EVIL!
Compared to that, the line problem in France is NOTHING!

Wait, I was just thinking about it and I have known about you two since before your podcast days. You had your knitting blog and I asked you to show me where you knitted (for Scout's meme) and you refused at first, and then you changed your minds. We are the couple from Nottingham you met in the bar in the Latin Quartier who asked you in dodgy french where we could find the toilets. You'll remember.... one of us was very drunk (Liam) and the other got a massive hangover even though she really, really, really wasn't that drunk... haha. Sorry we didn't make it to the show, great to see that it was a huge success though. Love the site, of course especially the Nottingham pics...!
