k&k episode 228 - the one where they tell terrifying tales of travel and trauma... and stuff...
In episode 228 we lay out yet another interesting topic on the coffee table - how prudent should you really be when you're travelling and what sorts of precautions should you take? We tell some pretty interesting travel tales and spend a whole lot of time wondering what we would do in a sticky situation. We also talk a bit about the power of Twitter. Cos it really is cool.
This episode was brought to you by the word "une précaution" (a precaution).
Oh dear! Janilani, this was the funniest story ever, I'm still laughing out loud/crying/clenching at your amazing and so well written story. Guys, it's a scary story but completely HILARIOUS! You gotta read it too.
I did a travel guide a few years back for Bretagne for a company called Fishers SOS Travel (I think Vivi did one for Troyes as well). Their speciality was city, region or country-specific guides that covered any English-speaking resources one might need in an emergency (doctor, dentist, hospital, lawyer, etc), plus useful things like tourist tips, phrases & good restaurants/bars in the area.
I think they've since gone belly up (they expanded too fast), but I thought it was a really good (and useful) idea.
Thanks Frog! Trust me when I say it is an experience I will never, ever forget.
The trip was AMAZING but...well...messy.
I'm so dry-humping you when I get to France! You are adorable. :-)
P.S. K&K...you're both adorable as well.

As a world traveler and one with experience with anal excreta whilst traveling through Egypt -- I thought I'd share my tale with you and your listeners.
Friends and people of the blogosphere found my tale of woe so entertaining that someone actually took the liberty of forwarding it to the publishers of poopreport.com. (I agreed to let them publish it under the nom de plume of "Poo de Grace").
My parents are so proud.
If you or your listeners want a good laugh at my liquescent saga, my poopreport tale can be found at:

I don't know if you'll be able to open the myspace link so I'll email it to you.
Love,
Janilani
P.S. I am now in utter terror of visiting Australia. Irukandji are so tiny you can hardly even see them and they can get thru the jellyfish nets they're so small! EEEEEEEEKKKKKK!
