k&k episode 232 - the one where they talk about what it's REALLY like to be away from home... and stuff...
Episode 232 is a reflective one. After a discussion about our different ways of speaking (again), we talk about some people we met from London and their expat experiences, which leads us to revisit the topic of expats versus immigrants, what makes some people decide move overseas, accents and homesickness.
This episode was brought to you by the phrase "avoir le mal du pays" (to be homesick).
Let me quote Katia "What I missed about Melbourne was the awesome food and the café culture, which do not exist here".
... er...Honey, do you realize that a herd of French listeners is going to want to slaughter you after hearing you utter such a comment, because we are convinced WE invented awesome food and cafés!!!
Viva la revolucion! Yeeha!
Well, obviously I'm going to have to come back on the show so we can all talk about it! ;)

Great episode ladies! I'm starting to read your blog archives, Katia... I had no idea there was internets in 2002!
