k&k episode 258 - the one where they talk about education and lentils... and stuff...
In episode 258 we talk about zombies, camping out for concerts, Kylie gives us a University Update (which derails into a long conversation about the differences in educational opportunities in different countries), then we chat about the tour de France, glasses and contact lenses.
This episode was brought to you by the phrase "les lentilles de contact" (contact lenses).
When I first got contacts (I think I was 10) they let me go home with them in, and that night was torture. I couldn't get them out, and eventually I cried enough that they fell out. So then a year later I tried them again and like magic I all of a sudden could take them out!
And now I just leave them in for a few months even though I am supposed to take them out every night and throw them away every two weeks. So much for learning to take them out!
I remember it taking forever for me to learn how to take my contacts out and I still see people who do it better after like 10 years.
I pinch but other people can just touch it and it sticks to their finger and I'm so jealous.
Also, the eye apparently has no nerve endings so even if you pinch it, it shouldn't hurt.

you "can" apply for citizenship after a masters/phd or 5 years of living in france - doesn't mean you'll get it! as soon as i get a job (i wouldn't think it would look good on my application to say that i'm unemployed...!) i'm going to apply!
now if i could only get a job...
