Sorry, but I don't know anybody that says "craaaan!" CRAY-ON it is here in the midwest!!
totally CRAY-ON on the west coast - i wouldn't have understood kyliemac either..
I say CRAY-ON also, but I have heard "crown" but that is in NJ area, never "cran!"

I say it somewhere in the middle, I guess its more like "cray-un". Its definitely two syllables, although I would have understood kyliemac-I know plenty of people who say it like she does!
OMG it's TOTALLY "cray-on" not "craaan" in my America!!!! I'm with you Katia!!!!!!
