k&k episode 274 - the one where Katia talks a bit more about Beirut... and stuff...
Katia's tales of travelling around Lebanon continue in episode 274, as she talks about national pride, rebuilding, cultural differences, safety, currency, food fun, hubbly bubblies, valet services, beaches (or lack thereof), road blocks, learning arabic and being culturally sensitive.
We finish off with a last minute discussion of the PUA Gala-Ball being held on September 19th.
This episode was brought to you by the word "un barrage" (a road block).
I had forgotten how completely bizarre the roads are in foreign countries. Egypt sounds very much the same as Lebanon. No traffic lights and I don't recall many roundabouts either.
I ABSOLUTELY agree with you on respecting the culture and customs of other countries. Even if you don't agree with them personally. I wore a head scarf at times when I was in Egypt. In Jamaica, you can be arrested for using profanity. I have a potty mouth and didn't know this until I made a faux pas and was threatened with jail.
Great show and I can't wait to hear more!

Hubbly-bubbly pipe? ha!
300 dollars for hire a beach chair?? OUCH.
Thanks for the announcement guys!
The bird-ball! he he.
