Darth Vader was just severely asthmatic and relentlessly teased & misunderstood. That is the only reason he turned to the darkside (and also for the Devil's Food Cake.)
Most people don't know this but he actually wanted to be a painter not unlike another assholian dicktator of German origin (misspelling deliberate.)

I must be un-American, because I have never seen anything Star Wars related. They showed one in middle school for a reward, but I skipped class and went to hang out in the band room instead. I know, I was cool!
