I have just the same custom than Muffin Man in my family regarding Christmas presents.
When we arrive for Christmas Eve we put all the gifts under the tree, just labeled with the name of the future owner. We also consider that ALL the presents come from Santa. :))
When it's midnight, we go to the tree and we take the gifts we bought to offer them to the children and grown-ups. This is how you know from whom it comes. :))
