k&k episode 44 - the one where they find themselves in the middle of the country... but luckily they find some champagne... and stuff...

Follow along with our adventures in episode 44.

show notes

We hit the road last weekend, and found ourselves in the heart of the French countryside - the Champagne region. It's a tough life, isn't it? Somewhere along the way, we managed to hook up with a bunch of Frenchies and some adorable Anglos, and had some amazing adventures, including near encounters with hedgehog-themed amusement parks and copious amounts of crack candy. Despite partying it up into the wee hours of the morning, we managed to get up and cast, along with our lovely hostess Doc and the adorable Vivi, and we even learned a little something! Who knew!?

This episode was brought to you by the words "un hérisson" (hedgehog) and "un niglo" (the Gypsy word for hedghog).

Excellent audio entertainment!Katia, did you know how sexy your voice is?Kyliemac sounds perky and cute, but scarily intellectual at the same time.Doc comes across as so poised, rather regal, and doesn't sound knocked up in the slightest!Vivi and her accent are simply adorable. Be still, my beating heart!I'm so glad you didn't capture me and my twang on your mike. A thorn amongst the roses.Thank you for your eight-thumb rating for Kevin's cake (grated apples, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and "blonde" raisins, btw.)48 hours later, and Kevin is still pining for the Choc Malted cake he was forced to miss, by his cruel mother. How 'bout sending The Au Pair Who's Better Than Your Au Pair my way Doc?

Just wanted to add that in the New England and surrounding states you will not find elderly ladies with hair color like crayola crayons. I was surprised when I went to Europe to find these hip older women donning vibrant hues of color. We are not so daring here. Mostly it seemed as though it were German women I noticed, but my memory is not serving me well; perhaps it is more wide spread than that; however, in Italy I donÕt recall it at all.

Yay for the podcast from Doc's house - I think it's my favorite out of all the ones you've done!

hahahaha mirror.i went to lunch with my French friends about a month ago - their 2 year old dipped bread in his ice cream.I think Malteasers and Whoppers taste different. Similar but different. My best friend refers to a particular color of red hair as "European Woman red." I think you know the color she means...

Hi I just recently started listening to your podcast. I love it my sister actually told me about it and actually it was so cool to hear you talk about my sister in episode 44 she was the au pair you mentioned. It was so cool to hear someone talk about her since i don't really get to talk to her much. Anyway I just wanted to tell you I love your podcast and listen to it every night before I go to bed.
