k&k episode 50 - the one where they make fun of Tori groupies... and stuff...
With a notch like episode 50 (!!) on our belts, we are super-excited, and what's more, we have an unexpected guest with us in the coffee table studio, the delightful Natalie! Truly we are masters of mayhem, and as words tumble out from all corners of the coffee table, we discuss everything from concert-going experiences and words for kissing to the elasticity of the English language and lives of security guards. This episode was brought to you by the word "un poivron vert" (a green capsicum/a green bell pepper).
Can you believe we're up to 50!!!!? We can't!!! Whew. So, to celebrate, can you maybe go vote for us on podcast alley? It would be super-fantastically lovely of you and we would cover you in (virtual) kisses for your efforts. Because we're like that. Or at least, Katia is, not Kyliemac. She'll just hug you (virtually). Although she may be happy to negotiate. If you give her some m&ms.
In regard to the fiddling and singing thing, it depends as to what you mean by doing both at once. Because like, while I could do both at once, I couldn't if, say, the song was really super fast/complicated or something. However, people have been known to jig and fiddle at the same time (and THAT is a real challenge, keeping your bow from skipping around on the strings while jumping about)! The foot-tapping and playing, however, is natural. No thought necessary for such a thing. The problem with such word play in French is not really that you CAN'T do it per se. Rather, the problem is that as a foreigner, any liberties you take with the language will be interpreted as mistakes. I do tend to invent words, but I do so only with friends who know that I enjoy doing so in both language (like school friends, etc.). My favorite transformation in french tends to being transforming words by adding the "-age" to the end. Muhahaha.
That was hilarious. I guess I didn't tell you my blog name. No matter. If you do get an answer for HOW all those people knew WHEN to rush the stage, dude, you have GOT to tell me.Also... the question on tipping the seating people... apparently that's the only way those people get paid. At least that is what the signs at the Olympia say. The seat sitters live off of the tips and don't get any other wage.A+Jennifer
