k&k episode 64 - the one where they talk about the wonders of the world... and stuff...

It is with our typical enthusiasm and complete disregard for the facts that we discuss a number of very interesting things in episode 64 : the new wonders of the world, the liberation of bicycles, charming (and not so charming) Frenchmen, university updates and sex ed in France. Oh, and just for Fwab, also turn on our bitch switches for a few minutes and whinge about some recent experiences we've had with some extremely unpleasant customer service people. (Show links)

This episode is brought to you by the word "un vŽlo" (a bicycle).

ps. Go on, give us some love on podcast alley. Just for fun.

Re: the bathroom/train station situation - what I find the most funny about stuff like that is that most of the time, they KNOW where the nearest bathroom is, they just don't feel like sharing with you, a lowly foreigner. *S*

Kim :

Girls,I don't think the pyramids were on the list because they actually ARE one of the REAL 7 wonders of the world (the only one still left). But I think this ranking thing is a bunch of crap anyway!I think you can ALSO rent the velolib things with your carte bleue as well, if you want. Of course, I'm not in Paris, but being that it's on tv every day... Didn't Antipo talk about Pauline going to sex ed a few weeks back? Perhaps it's not country-wide, but optional?

Kim :

Oh, and NERDS!In order to use the French "faux-magic" pen, you have to first write with a fountain pen like the kids in the elementary schools. Then you use the eraser end to erase the fountain pen ink, and then write over it with the blue end of the eraser pen. However, the really down side to this system is you can only write over it once. So if you screw up twice, you still have to whip out the white out.

Here is a list of the 7 Wonders of the ______ World. The Pyramid of Giza at least is listed on the "Ancient World" list.
