k&k episode 65 - the one where they discuss food, like bread and cheese... and stuff...
We're in the virtual kitchen in episode 65, and with the bewitching Kimmeh in the coffee table studio again, we talk about all sorts of food-related stuff in France : bread (the fourth utensil in France), salsifis, celery roots, breakfasts, waffles, cheese, morning tea... (Show links)
This episode was brought to you by the word "une gaufre" (waffle).
I've had the same experience as Kylie in every French hotel I've ever stayed in and that I had breakfast at - they always bring out a tray with just 1 croissant, a piece of baguette, 1 butter, 1 jam, juice and then a choice of coffee/hot choc/tea.And I don't think the c四屍i rap salad tastes a thing like regular celery. This might be stupid, but I actually thought celery root (c四屍i-rave in French) was a completely different plant from regular celery. I mean, celery is green, and that c屍四i remoulade stuff is pure white (and so is c四屍i-rave), so it just didn't make any sense to me. But maybe I'm just retarded and c四屍i-rave is just the root of the celery plant???
Sam,That's exactly it... the c四屍i-rave grows underground, it's the root of our green stalks.
You can get the celery root in the US too. It is known as celeraic.
