k&k episode 92 - the one where they talk about amphibians... and stuff...

It is our pleasure to have the charming Frog with a Blog with us again in episode 92, and we think you'll find this episode INTEResting. We talk about amphibians and mŽtro experiences, then we actually do a follow-up from a previous show, then we get back onto the topic of "home" from a French person's perspective. The conversation then turns to travelling, tim tams, strikes, and drinking. (Show links)

This episode was brought to you by the word "la gnole/gn™le/gniole/gnaule/ni™le" (aka eau de vie in French, or booze).

Another interesting conversation about "home". I do think when you are living away from the country of your birth, you tend to romanticize it. My husband has totally romanticized Italy while being in the US and now is a bit disillusioned with it. Maybe when you are living away from your birth country it seems more like "home" but when/if you move back you realize that "home" is where your love is or the place you feel comfortable or where you have made an everyday life you enjoy. who knows. On strikes & "eternal" jobs - Italians probably run a close 2nd in striking. and the ease of losing a job in the US (especially Texas) was one of the things that freaked my Italian out.lolgood show - hope kyliemac is having a good trip =) Nice to hear Frog back - he is always interesting.

Hi! I just wanted to say that I'm reading Alabama Song, that book about Zelda Fitzgerald that won the prix Goncourt, and in it she says: "Scott ne rigolait pas avec la qualitŽ de sa gn™le."g-n-™-l-e. I was so happy because I had already learned that word from listening to the podcast! Woot!
