k&k episode 466 - the one where they drink birthday cocktails and what it's like living in France... and stuff...

Armed with delicious birthday cocktails in episode 466, we ask listeners to suggest a name for our latest concoction, discuss what the show would be called in French, talk about how we respond when asked what it's like living in France, Kylie recounts an encounter she had over a métro ticket, then we chat about the journées du patrimoine.

k&k episode 427 - the one where they talk about THE places to drink cocktails in Paris... and stuff...

In episode 427 we continue chatting with Forest of 52 Martinis, where we talk about what makes her an expert on drinking cocktails in Paris and sip another version of the classic martini, stirred up by Forest herself! She lists some of her favourite books on cocktails, then tells us how she goes about finding the places she reviews on her blog, what sort of criteria she applies when writing her reviews and what her favourites are at the moment. She reveals how often she really goes out, tells us the secret of refining your palate for cocktail drinking, then we chat about the differences between standard bar cocktails and crafted cocktails.

k&k episode 426 - the one where they learn how to mix a real martini... and stuff...

We're rather excited to welcome Forest of 52 Martinis to the studio for episode 426! After we sip and compare shaken vs stirred martinis carefully made by the Martini Diva herself, and discuss the merits of different cocktail ingredients, she tells about her website, where she reviews bars in Paris! We talk about how she made her way to France, what inspired her to begin writing about cocktail adventures, and why she chose the Martini as her signature drink, then she tells us about some of the meetups she organises in Paris! Of course, all this is RIGHT up our alley.

k&k episode 399 - the one where they talk about where they come from and nerdism... and stuff...

We're delighted to present something we recorded a few months ago with our dear friend PH for episode 399! We chat about what it means to be a "true parisian", our respective nationalities and origins, how we each define where we're from, nerdism and tv shows, how we watch tv.

k&k episode 393 - the one where they discuss Jane Austen and the merits of melted cheese... and stuff...

Ryan continues to charm us with his fabulous accent in episode 393, as he tells us what he considers himself to be, then Katia and Ryan have a bit of a whinge about Jane Austen whilst Kylie defends her honour. He tells us about his French family and drinking Suze, we chat about snow and the deliciousness of melty, stinky cheese, then Ryan shares his thoughts about some of the places he has visited in France and around the world, such as Germany, Russia, Japan, Gambia and Israel.

k&k episode 389 - the one where they continue the Great Suze-Off... and stuff...

With our brave companions Olivier Magny and David Lebovitz, we continue our taste-testing experiments in episode 389! This time around, we honour the traditional French digéstif, discussing the pros and cons of many famous drinks, and we chat about a wide variety of things such as table manners, the most unusual things we've ever drunk and what we really prefer to drink. Inevitably, chaos reigns.

We're pleased to announce the Great Suze-Off 2010 in episode 388, accompanied in our taste-testing adventures by the dynamic Olivier Magny and David Lebovitz! In this episode we taste a vast quantity of interesting (and not-so-interesting) typical French apéritifs and discuss the various features of each one, and we chat about everything to do with chinking glasses, the ever-so-trendy world of apéro snacks and drinking myths.

k&k episode 373 - the one where they try to work out a name... and stuff...

We're rather ridiculously excited to have Frog on the show for episode 373, and between hostessing faux pas and beaver talk, we spend a considerable amount of time discussing potential names for the new studio and sources of irritation.

There's more UNPLUGGED action in episode 362 with some exciting Would You Rather conundrums, we chat about happy hour, we discuss genie pants and underwear, and Kylie gives us a movie promise update.

In episode 354 Katia gives an update on her upcoming move, the we discuss the different space-related dilemmas and space-saving techniques that are required in a city like Paris. Kylie then tells us about a Very Serious Dilemma Indeed!

In episode 330 we drink the most delicious Sidecars ever as we continue our discussion with Steve. Kylie does a Public Service Announcement regarding the Arc de Triomphe, Steve tells us about going to the rugby, Kylie turns blue as she tries to explain Easter Grass, Steve promises to make us Hot Cross Buns, Katia talks about her new t-key, we talk about the RATP logo, pop culture (Glee and Twilight, amongst others) and mysterious tours of Paris.

k&k episode 310 - the one where they talk (a lot) about tv and whether the gastro really exists... and stuff...

In episode 310 we talk extensively about television shows (Lost, the Office, How I Met Your Mother, Glee), Katia asks a few burning questions about Glee clubs and cheerleader uniforms, then we talk about the French tv show "Un dîner presque parfait" and whether gastroenteritis really exists.

k&k episode 300 - the one where they do "previously on katia and kyliemac"... and Froprah takes the stage... and stuff...

And it's episode 300!! We've invited Frog into the studio for this huge milestone in k&k history, where we do what can only be described as The Longest Skit Ever and we reveal our exciting plans for episode 333! Then Froprah comes out to play and we reminisce about the last 300 episodes - we talk about our favourite moments of the show, some of the different locations we've recorded from, our expectations from doing the podcast, the Muffin Man's role in all the shenaniganry, the beginning of the k&k Empire and the Pebble story, whether we've thought about quitting the podcast, our friendship and how it has made the podcast work, and whether we hold back about anything on the show. It's a long one, but it's one of our best ever.

In episode 295 Katia gives an update on her arm, there is much chatting about television shows (Monk, Fringe, X-Files, Lost, X-Factor), spoilers and commercials, and we get distracted by Symphony a number of times. We talk about Kylie's dress sense, movie-watching, traditional thanksgiving foods and thankfulness, and Kylie tells us some stories of cooking with the boys, then Katia gets excited about Christmas decorations and Symphony's brand twitter account.

k&k episode 294 - the one where they talk about spanking... and stuff...

In episode 294 we're a bit delirious, and get to chatting about the new k&k forum, spankings and reading in French, then Kylie gives us a movie update and we natter about tv shows again.

k&k episode 292 - the one where they spend an inordinate amount of time discussing television shows...

It's all about pop culture in episode 292, as we talk about glitter, zombie movies, the swine flu, song parties and how on earth Kylie actually knows something about one current musical artist. Kylie then tells us about her computer woes and we get very distracted by talking about some of our favourite tv shows (The Office, HIMYM, Glee, True Blood, Lost, Eastwick,...), and we finish off by chatting a bit about Thanksgiving.

As we chomp on Halloween goodies sent to us by a lovely listener in episode 289, we chat about preparations for episode 333 and what Kylie did when she visited Disney, we get distracted by X-Factor (ie. the horrificness of Jedward and the nit-invasion), then Kylie tells us what she did and where she went for her holidays (including a visit with the lovely Vivi and playing Wii-Fit Plus with Kimmeh & David).

With the incorrigable Frog in the k&k boudoir for episode 277, it goes without saying that things get a little naughty! We talk about drinking large amounts of wine, Australian expressions, nightmares, bachelors, bachelorettes and how much Kylie is worth, signature dishes and different m&ms. Frog tells us about his summer holidays, including the beauty of Bulgaria and romantic Romania, and Kylie tells us about her Midnight Train to Romania experience a few years ago.

Even in the face of technical difficulties and chaos, k&k are BACK! It's time for some more unplugged action in episode 266! We go to ikea, discuss champagne, crémant and sparkling wines, learn about calvados, reflect on pee, visit a farm, search for accommodation and talk like pirates.

We've got some more unplugged action happening in episode 264, with a rant about smoking, a lament about cheese, a ferry moment, a booger discussion, some bébé belette excitement, a cheese story and an exclamation about a moat.

k&k episode 245 - the one where they discuss the advantages and disadvantages of speedos... and stuff...

We're finally nicely settled in the Not Coffee table Studio for episode 245,Katia makes a confession, and we ask what would YOU do if someone had something stuck in their teeth, which leads us to a lengthy swimsuit discussion. We then chat about lame-o beaches, the fun of the live shows and the NCtS, birthday months and missing out on parties, youtube sensations, symphony moments, crazy fake gypsy ladies and name-calling.

k&k episode 243 - the one where they get excited about the Not Coffee Table Studio... and stuff...

We're terribly excited in episode 243, because not only is Frog on the show, but we're also inaugurating the NEW Not Coffee Table Studio! We describe how we surprised Frog with the revelation of the new studio, and how we put it all together, with trips to Ikea, hours of ironing and more! There is also a great deal of discussion about the use of words like "poof" and "shag".

k&k episode 234 - the one where kylie lets katia swear... and stuff...

Things have gone sersiously downhill in episode 234, and you get to hear what happens when Katia and Kyliemac decide to podcast after midnight. There is discussion about cowboys, margaritas, mojitos, dodgy restaurants, the politics of sending food back, bloody meat, gas masks and more foodstuffs that we don't like.

k&k episode 225 - the one where they work on their pronounciation... and stuff...

Chaos ensues in episode 225, as we start off with a very special "dear", and we discuss maths, toes, social comas, toilet lights, spiders, words and wankers, accents, babies, peeps and presents.

k&k episode 224 - the one where they talk about birthday obligations and how to eat hot dogs... and stuff....

There's a lot of rantage happening in episode 224, as we discuss the superstitions around Friday 13th and birthday obligations, and we cover Kyliemac's public shaming. We also talk about getting your fingers caught in the métro doors and experiences with ticket controllers, the way we've seen French people eat hot dogs and hamburgers, and the best job in the world.

k&k episode 203 - the one where Intern Noonan lives up to his name... and stuff...

After we spend some time ranting about garlands, Kelly and Christmas music, Intern Noonan regales us with gifts in episode 203, then we get distracted by words for a bit.

k&k episode 185 - the one where they cure headaches but not katia's toe... and stuff...

In episode 185 we're getting really excited about the contest submissions for the upcoming episode 200, and we reveal a super-special entry that we are particularly excited about. We talk about how listening to k&k cures headaches, but it apparently doesn't seem to be helping Katia's sore toe, and we talk about charming French men, the power of accents and French Emergency Rooms.

k&k episode 178 - the one where they relish the verbal love... and stuff...

We're all about the verbal love in episode 178, as we review a few voicemails and emails we've received from listeners over the last couple of weeks (and get distracted by stories, but what's new?). Kyliemac gives us a university update, and Katia talks about some of her mum's adventures learning French.

k&k episode 176 - the one where they talk about packages and the pope... and stuff...

Episode 176 contains an adorably hilarious voicemail from one of our favourite listeners and a record time is spent discovering what's inside various packages we've recently received from some other fantastic listeners. Kylie gives us a university update and we talk about Mamma Mia (the Movie), then Kylie asks if anyone else has seen the Flash Gordon movie and Katia launches an impromptu competition about whether you guys can guess who her most detested actor is, and we reveal whether the pope's visit interrupted our Friday Night Drinks or not.

In episode 162 we're thrilled to introduce the famous Phil, who is travelling in Europe with his little family. Not even 12 hours before we head over to the UK on a k&k roadtrip, we talk about meeting listeners, then Phil tells us all about his musical theatre adventures, Kylie tells us about going to Disney and tasting chocolate, then we chat abut magic pens and finally get around to talking about "k&k on the road (summer 2008)", and all the shenanigans we've got planned over the next few weeks.

We spend some time talking about Moo cards and a new Gadabout article that Kylie participated in about being an Assistant in France, then Katia tells about the one time she got detention, and we chat a bit about Facebook friends and do a WITWATAP update.

We're thrilled to welcome the delightfully English Rhino75 to the Coffee Table Studio for episode 140. We cover topics such as Gay Karaoke, the advantages of watching Nouvelle Star, musicals, cool listeners, dreams featuring k&k and birthday months (and we get interrupted by a hyperactive Symphony about 300 times). Rhino tells us a bit about how he found himself in France and how he learned French, then we take a slight detour and talk about Grange Hill, prefects and uniforms, then Katia shares some of her boarding school adventures and Kylie tells us all about what she did in the marching band.
